Pre-Team

Swimmers ages 5-8 that still need work on their basic swimming strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke). Swimmers should already be comfortable enough to fully submerge their face in the water, and able to swim the width of the pool (12 yards) continuously.  Class meets once a week for 90 minutes. Participants work on land and water synchronized swimming skills to prepare them for team participation.

Novice Team

Swimmers ages 5-10 that have mastered the basic swimming strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke) and can swim 1 lengths of the pool (25 yards) continuously. This class is for younger swimmers and/or swimmers new to synchronized swimming. Class meets once a week for 2 hrs. Swimmers can add an optional extra day of land skills training. The season runs October-April, and participants will have an opportunity to participate in up to 4 meets during the Jan-April competition season.

Novice PLUS Team

Some Novice level swimmers will be invited to participate in Novice Plus. These swimmers will be given a second routine, and will be eligible to compete at one extra meet in May. Swimmers who pass their Pre-Level LTAD tests will be considered for Novice Plus.

Intermediate Team

Swimmers ages 8-13 that have mastered the basic swimming strokes (freestyle

, backstroke, breast stroke) and have previous experience either in synchronized swimming, or one or more of the following - swim team, dance, gymnastics, or competition cheer. Class meets twice a week for 2 hrs each session. Swimmers can add an optional extra day of land skills training. The season runs October-April, and participants  will have an opportunity to participate in up to 4 meets during the Jan-April competition season.

Intermediate PLUS Team

Some Intermediate level swimmers will be invited to participate in Intermediate Plus. These swimmers will be given a second routine, and will be eligible to compete at one extra meet in May. Swimmers who pass their Level 1LTAD tests will be considered for Intermediate Plus.

 

The following teams are our more competitive teams for the swimmers who want to commit to a more rigorous program.

Coach approval is required to sign up for these age groups.

12 U Age Group Team

Swimmers birth years 2008-2011. Our 12&U Age Group program focuses on preparing swimmers for qualification for National Junior Olympic competition. Swimmers who have passed their Level 1 LTAD tests will be considered for 12&U Age Group. The 12&U Age Group squad is expected to participate in all meets that they qualify for, including National Junior Olympics. Practice is 3 times a week for a total of 7hrs training, with an optional 4th day of land training. The season runs October-June, and participants will compete in 4-7 meets, some of which require out of state travel. Solo and duet routines will be assigned to 12&U Age Group swimmers at the coach’s discretion. Swimmers must pass their Level 2 LTAD test to be considered for small routines.

13-15 Age Group Team

Swimmers birth years 2005-2007. Our 13-15 Age Group program focuses on training for National Junior Olympics, and preparing swimmers for qualification for Junior Nationals. 13-15 swimmers will be expected to pursue their Level 3,4,&5 LTAD certifications, and to participate in all meets that they qualify for Including National Junior Olympics. US Junior Nationals and Synchro America Open competition opportunities will be available to qualified 13-15 swimmers as well. Practice meets 3-4 times a week for a total of 9-11hrs a week. The season runs October-June, and participants will compete in 5-8 meets, some of which require out of state travel. Swimmers wishing to join the Age Group program need approval from the head coach.

16-19 Age Group Team

Swimmers birth years 2001-2004. Our 16-19 Age Group program focuses on training for National Junior Olympics, Junior/Senior Nationals, and Synchro America Open. Practice meets 4 days a week for a total of 12-14 hrs a week. The season runs October-June, and participants will compete in 5-9 meets, some of which require out of state travel. Swimmers wishing to join the Age Group program need approval from the head coach.
